Cara Hamann, associate professor of epidemiology, has received the 2024 Faculty Communicating Ideas Award from the Office of the Vice President for Research. Hamann has frequently shared her work on transportation issues, including teen driving, bike and scooter safety, and pedestrian safety, through peer-reviewed journals and extensive media outreach.
